Fire-safe Phenolic Resins

With increase worldwide awareness for fire safety in the mass transport, aerospace, automotive, and oil field industries, GPK offers phenolic resins that are inherently fire-resistant, demonstrate low smoke generations and have high temperature-resistance. They are suitable for a variety of processing techniques, including hand/wet layup, SMC/BMC, RTM, pultrusion, filament winding, prepreg and autoclave. Many of the resins meet fire-safety specifications from such agencies as the US Coast Guard, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and British Railways.

High Strength
On a weight for weight basis Kemrock Glassfibre Reinforced Polymer Composites are as much as seven times stronger than steel.

Lightweight
Kemrock Glassfibre Reinforced Polymer Composites can be as much as one quarter the weight of ductile iron and a tenth the weight of concrete.

Corrosion Resistance
Selecting the appropriate resin matrix enables Kemrock Glassfibre Reinforced Polymer Composites to resist aggressive effluents soils and most common industrial chemicals.

Ease of handling & installation
Their lightweight & high strength enables Kemrock Glassfibre Reinforced Polymer Composites to be readily transported and handled. They can be worked on-site with ordinary hand tools, & jointing is a simple semi-skilled operation.

Longevity
Kemrock Glassfibire Reinforced Polymer Composites are durable, virtually maintenance free and provide long life solutions offering resistance to aging, long term creep and corrosion.
